Novacanoo has less than 1000 subs, and I’ve only watched one of his videos– his analysis of The Last of Us. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The vid’s detailed, thoughtful and brings up some valid points about the game that I haven’t seen discussed elsewhere. Check it out here:

The guys from gametrailers started a new youtube channel called Easy Allies. It feels like they’ve really kicked it into high gear lately with quality reviews on Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 and Final Fantasy XV. Here’s the Final Fantasy review:

Kaptainkristian makes freaking fantastic videos. I hadn’t heard of him until a few weeks ago. I binged most of his vids soon afterwards. Here’s his piece on Pokemon:

Indigo Gaming is a small channel that I’ve been keeping an eye on. Really loved his new vid on “What Skyrim’s Sequel Could Learn From Daggerfall – Indigo Gaming”. Link:

Randy (the youtuber behind Elder Geek) is a good friend of mine. I’ve always held him in high regard and have admired his channel. His series Twenty FIve Games for My Son is a standout that I don’t see mentioned very often. It’s not about criticizing games or pontificating about what makes good game design. It’s just him talking about games for his son. It’s different than a lot of stuff out there and probably worth checking out. Here’s his most recent one:

While doing some research for the Sunless Sea video I ran into the writings of Alexis Kennedy. Alexis Kennedy was the co-founder of Failbetter games, the developer behind Sunless Sea. I’ve enjoyed a lot of his stuff. Here’s his latest on the “The Importance of Games in Difficult Times”.
